A report by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Study found 20 percent of fatal accidents involve at least one driver who lacks a valid license. In California, another study showed that those who have never held a valid license are about five times more likely to be involved in a fatal road accident than licensed drivers. These numbers dwarf the the numbers of Americans killed by Al-Qaeda and look at what we have spent on the “war on terror”, why is the Obama administration so hell bent on releasing these real terrorist on the American people. We should bring the troops home deploy them along our border, use the freed up CBP to sweep cities polluted with illegal aliens and stop allowing them access to health care, education and other social welfare programs. Companies who knowingly employ them should be heavily fined and illegals should have there assets seized to repay taxpayer then deported.
Michigan Taxpayers Spend $928,677,050 Per Year on Illegal Aliens
(CNSNews.com) – Michigan is spending nearly $1 billion a year on illegal immigrants, according to state lawmaker Dave Agema, which amounts to about $8,075 for each taxpayer in that state.
Michigan Rep. Agema, who represents the 74th district, Grandville, wrote a letter to the editor of Michigan Live explaining that the added costs of providing health care, education, welfare, jails, and human services for illegal immigrants is nearly $1 billion per year.
Agema cited the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) 2010 study, “The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on U.S. Taxpayers,” which found that an estimated 115,000 illegal aliens cost the state and local governments of Michigan $928,677,050.
The study uses estimates for illegal immigrant populations against government data on expenditures for various programs, state by state. Nationwide, the impact of illegal immigration costs $113 billion, in combined federal and state spending, according to FAIR.
In Michigan, FAIR found that K-12 education takes the largest share for spending on illegal immigrants, with $314.1 million. Other spending (state and local) includes: General ($225.3 million); Welfare ($142.6 million); Justice ($66 million); Limited English Proficiency (LEP) education ($63.2 million); Medicaid ($62.4 million); and SCHIP ($25.2 million).
“I have witnessed through my business experience as a consultant for a tool and die business the effect illegal immigration has on the cost of doing business at a state level,” Agema writes to describe his position on illegal immigration on his website.
“This burden reduces profitability, lowers pay, and decreases benefits for existing employees who are either American citizens or documented workers,” he said.
According to FAIR’s estimates, the cost for each illegal immigrant to the Michigan taxpayer amounts to $8,075.
Below is an excellent essay that all Republicans need to read. Many Republican political hacks are pushing Republicans to back off there support for tighter immigration policy because hispanics will vote Democratic. Surprise guys not all hispanics choke on DNC kool-aid, actually like any group there are diverse voices. Many are intelligent enough to see how open borders and uncontrolled immigration will hurt every taxpayer. Hordes of humans we cannot absorb hurt everyone, schools, health care and business all suffer and these costs are passed onto every taxpayer. Immigration reform is a multi-faceted issue that effects everbody legal and illegal and too many political hacks look at the short term political issues and not the soul of the party. Republicans need to do a better job at educating Americans on the many negative effects of uncontrolled immigration and unsecured borders and our message. There is not a single citizen today not effected by uncontrolled population growth due to illegal immigration. The issues involved range from the environmental impact of to many humans occupying an area to crowded schools and emergency rooms. Where do we dispose of the trash, where does the clean water come from and most important who pays these bills? Most important of all is Republican lost both houses because they sold there souls. If Republicans cannot hold true to the core beliefs of smaller government, lower taxes and strong national defense we are no different then the other clowns. It would be better to lose power then sell our souls, long term solid beliefs and message will grow the party. The best thing about the tea party is fresh blood and strong values, purging Washington of career politicians is a win win. The Republicans must get the party’s core beliefs and message out to new immigrants. Most new immigrants share our values supporting family, education and freedom, when we let the media and democrats define the message we will lose. Getting out an effective conservative message is all about the presentation, if the message is presented properly Republicans always win. The other party treats there supporters like children who must be led around by the nose. Progressives feel they are morally and ethically superior to everyone else and treat most immigrants like dimwits who will only survive by submitting to there lunacy. If conservatives treat people like adults and equals capable of greatness and failure, people will join up and work with us to fix the Obama, Pelosi and Reid train wreck. Explaining why we support English only and how it benefits everbody by forging commonality and easier communication or explaining why we believe less government in our lives is a good thing is what is most important. The Democrats excel at the policy of divide and conquer, the Clintons perfected it, remember “triangulation”? The conservative message will grow the party if it is presented and followed through on. Obama and his party continue the “Do as I say, not as I do” BS, and the media will never call them on it. We should alway call them on it and then follow up with a conservative response and why feel that way.
HERE IS NO UPSIDE TO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS
By Tom Garcia

Throughout his partnership with President George W. Bush, Karl Rove argued that a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens would be a political winner for the Republican Party. His argument, so it went, was that because the so-called Hispanic segment of the population was growing faster than other parts of the body politic, it would be foolish to block amnesty for illegal aliens that those voters wanted.
Furthermore, so his logic contended, this growing minority would punish Republicans for not going along with the Democrats’ amnesty proposals. In other words, the Republican Party should itself co-opt these proposals for amnesty and make them their own, thereby eroding the Democrats’ share of this voting public.
But on what premise is this theory based?
First, it assumes that all U.S. citizens of Hispanic descent favor a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens, whether those aliens come from Malaysia, Ireland, Kosovo, Somalia or Russia. While it obviously is true that the leftist, top-down, unelected leadership of the ethnocentric advocacy organizations La Raza, the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund and the League of United Latin American Citizens, as well as their organized masses of illegal alien street marchers, are boisterous in their clamor for “comprehensive immigration reform,” it isn’t equally clear how many ordinary, everyday U.S. citizens of Hispanic descent share those passions.
Illegal immigration impacts Hispanic-American communities first and foremost, because foreign nationals from south of the border naturally congregate in already-established enclaves. Those communities therefore sustain the brunt of crime; gang infestation; and competition for already scarce jobs, housing, education and social services.
While it may be true that some Hispanic-Americans might nurture a solidarity with their more recently arrived ethnic cousins, is this where their own true interests lie? Are their real-world interests associated with the illegal arrival of millions of neighbors from their old countries or with their fellow American citizens, with the old world they left behind or the new society of which they are a part? Isn’t the ethnic demagoguery associated with the so-called “pathway to citizenship” in effect a pathway to Balkanization?
Instead of descending into a competition with Nevada Sen. Harry Reid in a watered-down imitation of liberal Democrats’ pandering for the votes of “Amnesty-Hispanics,” wouldn’t it be more prudent as well as more respectful to Hispanic-Americans for the Republican Party to offer a clear alternative, to appeal to their American patriotism and their own real self-interests as U.S. citizens? Why lump the entire Hispanic-American community, with ancestors from a host of Latin American countries, with a diversity of histories, cultures, traditions, languages and interests, into one homogeneous group as if they all marched to the same drummer? How about offering this vibrant cross section of American citizens an option other than blind obedience to La Raza and the Democrats?
Second, Mr. Rove’s theory rests on the assumption that newly amnestied voters will remember that the Republican Party helped pave their pathway to citizenship and reward the party with future support. But let’s look at the facts. The overwhelming majority of illegal aliens have less than a high school education, and many are not even literate in their own languages. This doesn’t mean they aren’t good people, but it does mean they are natural recipients of the welfare state. Once they receive citizenship in the United States, will they be more likely to favor the big-government, wealth-transferring, multiculturalist nanny state promised and promoted by the Democrat Party or the smaller-government, self-reliant, lower-taxing, entrepreneurial, assimilative society championed by the Republican Party?
What’s more, the tens of millions of newly amnestied citizens legally would be able to bring in their next of kin through chain migration, swelling the overall number to potentially more than 50 million within a decade of the amnesty – constituting a permanent Democratic majority.
We’ve become fond of Mr. Rove’s cable-TV chalkboards. Here’s a four-liner he hasn’t shown us yet:
* If 12 million-20 million illegal aliens are amnestied, it can be estimated conservatively that a majority of these new citizens will vote Democrat.
* If there is no amnesty, none of these illegal aliens will vote, period.
* If there is an amnesty, current U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin will vote as they have been voting anyway.
* If there is no amnesty, current U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin will vote as they have been voting anyway.
A majority of U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin (with the exception of Cuban-Americans) have consistently voted Democratic. Many of those within this voting population who ardently support amnesty will blame the Democrats for not getting one because the Democrats will be the ones who did not push through an amnesty when they had the political power and the unprecedented opportunity to do so. So where is the political upside for the Republican Party to support an amnesty, in either the short or long run?
Had there been an amnesty in 2006 or 2007, as Sen. John McCain and the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy proposed, millions more would have entered the country illegally since then, as, in fact, they have anyway. The border wasn’t secured before the amnesty votes and hasn’t been secured since those votes. Visa violators continued to remain illegally in the country before those votes, and many more recent arrivals have continued illegally to do so since those votes. The federal government under Mr. Bush and President Obama contented itself with cosmetic measures and halfhearted initiatives, abdicating its responsibility to enforce existing immigration law effectively and to secure our borders. Even with the successful passage of McCain-Kennedy in 2006, we would be debating anew today whether to provide amnesty for the 4 million to 5 million illegal aliens who have entered since. And if an amnesty were enacted tomorrow, five years from now, Congress would be debating what to do with the additional 5 million who would have entered by that time.
If the history of past amnesties has taught us anything, it is this: Talk of amnesty, the promise of amnesty – especially the enactment of amnesty legislation as in 1986 – simply encourages more and more illegal immigration. Limited or general, amnesties act as flashing green lights to the likely hundreds of millions on earth who would like to move to America.
Until the borders are really secured, workplace laws are really upheld and the benefits of the welfare state are restricted to U.S. citizens and legal immigrants, any consideration of amnesty is a perilous venture into a fantasyland of false promises, unrealistic expectations, the abrogation of the rule of law and the perpetuation of an immoral, systematic exploitation of unending waves of cheap labor from Third World countries. We already have federal laws in place to get the illegal immigration fiasco under control. Congress has not abdicated its responsibility by failing to enact new laws favored by open-borders utopians. No such laws are required, comprehensive or otherwise. The problem is with the executive branch and the Obama administration, which has turned itself into the greatest collection of scofflaws in the country.
The way to increase the percentage of American-Hispanics voting for the Republican Party is
(1) To raise their standard of living (and everyone else’s) by a return to free-market principles;
(2) by an open appeal to their shared American patriotism and
(3) by clearly and unapologetically stating the unequivocal rejection of amnesty in any guise, shape or form. U.S. citizens of Hispanic origin don’t love the rule of law less than other Americans and understand that the United States already has the most generous legal immigration policy on earth. Given a clear choice and a positive appeal, many will rally.
These positions won’t get Republicans a majority of these voters right away, but they will diminish the Democrats’ share of the vote in the short run and hasten the integration of the Hispanic-American community into the great melting pot that is America. A time will come in the not-too-distant future when hyphens matter to Hispanics no more than they do to any of the immigrant groups who preceded them. It is the best path for America and the only practical path for the survival of the Republican Party as a majority party worthy of the electorate.
Tom Garcia is a Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 24th Congressional District.

This story below is a perfect example of why so many people are getting pissed off about Obama continuing a failed immigration policy that is dragging America into decline. To many immigrants mostly illegal are here for financial gain, and could care less about America and our way of life. These hyphenated-Americans make little if any attempt to “melt-in”. They have little problem taking government benefits legally or illegally, while taxpayers suffer. They refuse to learn our language, or adhere to our laws. Where these Mexicans out in the streets supporting the U.S. soccer team, I’ am guessing no. Immigrants use to come here and where grateful to be here, they gave back to the country. The deadbeats immigrating lately are more likely to demand we adjust to there third world ways. Whether its muslims demanding foot baths or some other bunch demanding school books and driver test be printed in there language enough is enough. Lets deport the illegals and close the doors and take care of our fellow citizens. You have to wonder if the folks who legally come here get a little pissed when they see these illegals demanding rights and bad mouthing our country. Why play by the rules when others benefit by cheating, lying and stealing and then are rewarded with Amnesty. Obama, Pelosi and Reed have no problem selling out our nation for short term political gains that benefit there bank accounts. You can add a lot of Republicans into that bunch too, all need to be dealt with!
Fans take to SoCal streets after Mexico soccer win
HUNTINGTON PARK, CALIF. — Fans celebrating Mexico’s 2-0 win over France in World Cup play spilled into streets Thursday afternoon and were ordered to disperse by police wary of a repeat of soccer-related disturbances in the small city southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
“We had to give that order, the crowd was starting to become quiet large and it was becoming a little bit of a threat,” said police Sgt. John Navarrette.
Fans waving flags poured onto Pacific Boulevard, which law enforcement had shut down as a precaution during the second half of the game.
“We want people to celebrate, we have no problem with it whatsoever,” Navarrette said. “We just want them to do it responsibly and peacefully and not cause property damage.”
Huntington Park, home to a large Latino population, has a history of disturbances after Mexico’s World Cup play.
In November 2001, unruly fans celebrating Mexico’s victory over Honduras in World Cup qualifying tossed rocks and bottles and smashed windows after about 1,000 people streamed into the central business district. Officers fired stingballs to disperse the crowd.
In June 1998, throngs filled the streets and more than 30 were arrested for vandalism, assault and failure to disperse after Mexico tied Netherlands to advance. Days later dozens more were arrested after small groups of fans turned unruly following Mexico’s loss to Germany.
Huntington Park also endured an outbreak of violence and looting in 1994 when the World Cup was held in nearby Pasadena.

As Obama and the open border crowd bash Arizona for passing a common sense law on immigration, a law which they have admitted not even reading yet. Its interesting to look at Mexico’s immigration policy and how they deal with illegal immigrants.
We looked at the immigration provisions of the Mexican constitution. Now let’s look at Mexico’s main immigration law.
Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:
* Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)
* Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)
* Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)
* The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)
Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:
* Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)
* A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity. (Articles 85 and 86)
* A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).
Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:
* Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)
* Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)
Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:
* Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)
* Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)
* Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.
Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,
* “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)
* Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)
* Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)
Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:
* A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)
* Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)
All of the above runs contrary to what Mexican leaders are demanding of the United States. The stark contrast between Mexico’s immigration practices versus its American
immigration preachings is telling. It gives a clear picture of the Mexican government’s agenda: to have a one-way immigration relationship with the United States.
Let’s call Mexico’s bluff on its unwarranted interference in U.S. immigration policy. Let’s propose, just to make a point, that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations standardize their immigration laws by using Mexico’s own law as a model.

Big business and leftist open border supporters recently came together to promote there anti-American agenda. Big business wants cheap labor and pro immigration groups want to grab power through numbers. The Balkanization of America is under way, modern immigration is about economics and power. In the past immigrants came to America to escape tyranny and oppression, most willingly integrated, learned english and where proud to become citizens. Recent immigrants are making less of an effort to “melt-in”, in effect they become “hyphenated-Americans”. They come here to make money and support there families in other countries. This support often aids in keeping third world thug governments in power. Otherwise would have to answer to an angry populace, Mexico, Cuba and Venezuela are perfect examples of this. A long history of corrupt politicians have controlled these countries and the people have never had the guts to change it. The life blood of America is the middle class, and its disappearing. The coming together of these two agendas is bad news for the middle class. This uncontrolled immigration results in depressed wages, over whelmed tax payer funded social programs and rising crime. The country is slowly fragmenting and “Change” is coming, and not in a good way.
Good blog post on Immigration and costs
With the federal deficit growing every minute why do both parties continue to fail at stopping, then reducing immigration that bloats the welfare budgets. The Obama adminisration is growing the federal governments workforce by up 300% while at the same time doing nothing to lessen the horde of unhealthy, uneducated and unskilled immigrants legal and illegal who feed off our taxes. All this is being added too our debt while no income is there to pay the bills. Immigration should be used to benifit our nation, we should be cherry picking the best and brightest who can add to our country. We need doctors, enginneers and scientist not ditch diggers and dish washers. The hard working middle class worker and small business owner is quickly becoming the new “poor & huddled masses”. We can no longer can afford to be the dumping ground for people who cannot succed in there own country. It’s time the policians from both parties start working for the people who elected them. The special interest groups like unions and big bussiness have there own agenda, neither is good for the middle class.
This Backgrounder provides a detailed picture of the number and socio-economic status of the nation’s immigrant or foreign-born population, both legal and illegal. The data was collected by the Census Bureau in March 2007.
Among the report’s findings:
•The nation’s immigrant population (legal and illegal) reached a record of 37.9 million in 2007.
•Immigrants account for one in eight U.S. residents, the highest level in 80 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13
•Overall, nearly one in three immigrants is an illegal alien. Half of Mexican and Central American immigrants and one-third of South American immigrants are illegal.
•Since 2000, 10.3 million immigrants have arrived — the highest seven-year period of immigration in U.S. history. More than half of post-2000 arrivals (5.6 million) are estimated to be illegal aliens.
•The largest increases in immigrants were in California, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, Arizona, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
•Of adult immigrants, 31 percent have not completed high school, compared to 8 percent of natives. Since 2000, immigration increased the number of workers without a high school diploma by 14 percent, and all other workers by 3 percent.
•The share of immigrants and natives who are college graduates is about the same. Immigrants were once much more likely than natives to be college graduates.
•The proportion of immigrant-headed households using at least one major welfare program is 33 percent, compared to 19 percent for native households.
•The poverty rate for immigrants and their U.S.-born children (under 18) is 17 percent, nearly 50 percent higher than the rate for natives and their children.
•34 percent of immigrants lack health insurance, compared to 13 percent of natives. Immigrants and their U.S.-born children account for 71 percent of the increase in the uninsured since 1989.
•Immigrants make significant progress over time. But even those who have been here for 20 years are more likely to be in poverty, lack insurance, or use welfare than are natives.
•The primary reason for the high rates of immigrant poverty, lack of health insurance, and welfare use is their low education levels, not their legal status or an unwillingness to work.
•There is a worker present in 78 percent of immigrant households using at least one welfare program.
•Immigration accounts for virtually all of the national increase in public school enrollment over the last two decades. In 2007, there were 10.8 million school-age children from immigrant families in the United States.
The Obama administration is continuing its campaign to drag the United States into a third world debt ridden socialist utopia. With the unemployment rate still spiking, government debt growing and border security vital as ever why does this idiot keep adding to the problem. We as a nation cannot afford to pay for the unskilled, uneducated masses pouring across our borders anymore. Just across the border 15,000 people have been killed in the growing cartel violence. We have Islamic jihadist trying to hatch the next 911, why is Obama doing even less then Bush to lock down the border. Just as troubling is the violence affecting every one of our cities coming from Mexican and other countries drug gangs. Is Obama and the (D) so hell bent on adding the 12-30 million illegals to there partys numbers that he is willing to throw the rest of us to the wolves?
Pres. Obama Proposes to Cut 180 Border Patrol Agents
Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 1:20 PM EST – posted on NumbersUSA
Pres. Barack Obama’s newly proposed 2011 budget would reduce the number of Border Patrol agents along the Southwest border by 180 and cut the funding for the “virtual fence.” Homeland Security said it plans to cut the jobs through attrition, and it would result in increased pay for the remaining agents.
White House senior officials say the move will not compromise the effectiveness of the border patrol. But House Judiciary Ranking Member Lamar Smith (R-Texas) says otherwise.
The President’s budget proves once again that the Obama administration is not serious about enforcing our nation’s immigration laws.
The administration found money for 25 new positions in the Secretary of Homeland Security’s management office, but didn’t find funds for any of the following critical homeland security programs: there is no funding for a single new detention bed, no increase in funds to find and deport immigration fugitives or criminal aliens, no additional special agents to investigate workplace immigration violations, no funding to expand the visa security program, and no funding to build any more of the border fence.
The President ought to be using immigration enforcement to address key priorities such as jobs and national security. But instead of doing so, the Obama administration is maintaining the status quo. That means that citizens and legal immigrants will be forced to continue to compete with eight million illegal immigrants for jobs; and by underfunding key national security programs, we leave ourselves vulnerable to future terrorists attacks.
— Ranking Member Lamar Smith
The “virtual fence” would have funding cut by $226 million. The system is made up of cameras, radar and sensors placed on towers.
